Welterweight prospect, Kenneth “K2” Thomas, improved to 2-0 (with 1 KO) with his hard fought victory over the game Lionel Jimenez (2-7, 2 KOs). In front a a crowd looking for their hometown hero to put on a show, he did just that but not without a brief scare. In the middle of showcasing his intense skill and talent, K2 was clipped by an awkward left hook that sent him down in the second round. Looking more embarrassed than hurt, Thomas popped right back up and continued pounding Jimenez with lefts to the head and the body. The third and fourth round looked the same with Thomas throwing and Jimenez eating all he threw at him, wobbling but never going down. Jimenez lived up to his rep as a tough as nails fighter who won’t be stopped even if outclassed. Thomas moved to 2-0 and is looking to continue to grow and improve as he continues his trek to the top. Scores: 38-37, 40-37, 38-37
